Direct Data Entry (DDE) Overview
You currently have jurisdiction selected, however this page only applies to these jurisdiction(s): .
DDE allows providers to submit claims electronically, correct certain claim processing issues, and check claim and payment status.
Accessing the DDE System
To access DDE, a request must be submitted electronically by the Authorized Signer using the DDE Electronic Access Request Form.
Each facility will have an Authorized Signer. The DDE Authorized Signer is determined by the facility. However, the Authorized Signer must register for a DDE Submitter ID by completing the DDE Submitter ID Request Form.
The request could take up to 30 business days to complete. An email notification will be sent to the email address listed on the form. Please note that if the form is not filled out correctly, the form will be returned to the Authorized Signer and the 30 business days will start from the date the corrected form was received.
Only one DDE User ID is allowed per user. Sharing DDE User IDs and passwords is strictly prohibited. Each user that accesses the DDE/FISS must obtain a User ID in their name. You can add additional Regions and Provider Transaction Numbers (PTANs)/Provider numbers to your current DDE User ID. However, if your current User ID is in the format of two letters and five numbers and the User ID is not active on the DXC-VDC records, the Authorized Signer will need to request a new User ID.
Please note that third party billing companies are not allowed to request a DDE Submitter ID. The third party will need to contact the Authorized Signer to request DDE access.
When an employee terminates their employment, the Authorized Signer will need to send a request to deactivate the ID for the termed employee. The DDE ID cannot be assigned to another employee.
The DDE User ID is automatically revoked after 30 days of inactivity, and you will receive an error message “Your User ID has been Revoked.” If that occurs, the User will need to contact the DDE Navigation and Password Reset Department at (866) 518-3251 to have the User ID unsuspended.
The DDE User ID is automatically revoked after 30 days of inactivity, and you will receive an error message “Your User ID has been Revoked.” If that occurs, the User will need to contact the DDE Navigation and Password Reset Department at (866) 580-5986 to have the User ID unsuspended.
After 60 days of inactivity, the DDE User ID is automatically deactivated. If the User ID is not active, you will receive the error message “The User ID Entered is Not Authorized to Use TPX.” If this occurs, the Authorized Signer will need to complete the DDE Electronic Access Request Form to reactivate the User ID. To avoid this from occurring, you should log into the DDE system every 30 days or prior to 60 days for both J5 and J8.
Connecting to the DDE System
Users will need a connection to the DDE System. The DDE connection can be established by contacting one of the Network Service Vendors below. Some facilities may already have a connection with one of these vendors or with a vendor that is not listed below.
If you need to establish a connection, or have DDE connectivity issues, please contact your Network Service Vendor at the applicable number:
Ability: (888) 460-4310
ECC Technologies' RAPID Network: (855) 643-2252
DDE Login, Password, and Navigation Help
